I am trying to take over my father's project of restoring his 2001 tow lite hi lo. At the front of the camper near the tongue he has the fiberglass piece underneath taken off and I have 2 sets of a green wire and a white wire hanging there that are spliced. I have been trying to look at wiring diagrams but can't figure it out. I'm not sure what the wires go to and if they just need to be put together ( green tk green and white to white) or if they connect somewhere different. Any help appreciated!

Hi mdunlevy and welcome. The white wires are generally negative (sometimes called ground) wires. The green wires are probably 12V DC power to the running lights on the outside of the trailer.

I can't tell you if you should splice them or not. Where do each of the wires terminate? Do the other ends (not the free ones) go back into the trailer or do they seem to go to the front into the tongue?

Welcome to the forum.

Just wanted to welcome you and say we will try and answer your questions.Best of luck in your repair project. Many of us have done extensive repairs.

And I should add - Are the exterior running lights working when you hook the tow vehicle to the trailer and turn the tow vehicle's lights on?

The wires look like they came from the front wall near the tongue. I have not tried to plug camper I'm yet to see what lights work and don't work. My father had taken the outside walls off the the left side( or side with the door) and the front wall (the kitchen area) I have been working on getting the walls replaced and siding back on but didn't want to put front wall back together without fixing the white and green wires first . They currently dangl down each side of the front wall on the left and right side of the window and look like they were sliced and currently not connected to anything. I will try to get a picture this week for clarification.

If they're all coming from the same area, they should not be spliced together. If you have a wire of one color coming from the tongue, and another of the same color coming from the front of the trailer box, then they probably SHOULD be spliced. The running lights (green wires) get their power from the tow vehicle, so you need a green connection all the way to the trailer plug. White wires are negative, so they can probably be connected to the frame.
