It should be but I can't find it! I refer to the heater element in my Atwood MPD 93809.

Atwood MPD 93809 is not a model number but a literature number which could be referring to as many as 16-18 models. The electric heating element is probably on the back of the tank and could be a screw in element or a bolt on element. The ease of accessing the heating element depends on the location of your water heater. If under a bench seat it should be fairly simple.

Under the bench as advertised. In hindsight, very obvious but I've been known to lack logic in my past. Some said I was mad but my mother always assured me that it was a sign of genius

Excited to get into her little sink, an overly eager wife thought she'd heat the water before we set off, not knowing that I don't tow with the unnecessary weight of 6 gallons of H20.

Ohmmeter says open circuit, as suspected. Empty tank = fried element. Now that's elementary!

Off to get an element & no, I won't forget the screw in element removal socket.

Thanks guys! ;)

Glad you got it figured out! That is one of the reasons I really like checklists. :)

I get that a lot Luckydog. Don't know why as I'm from The UK.

Thanks for the link, downloaded, printed & in the trailer :)
