Discovered our beloves neutered male cat had been bitten by another cat.Used my nursing skills to determine that he had to be seen today,even though it was 4:10pm. The vet debrided the wound and did an excellent job of explaining what happened. We were so lucky he could take care of this in the office. $100.00. The alternativve would have been a $400.00 surgery. Says this happens every mating season and he sees 3to4 cases of this a week. He must stay indoors until he heals and takes his two antibiotic pills a day. We did pretty good as he is eight years old and this is the first emergency care. He is such a "whimp" for a male cat. Furby wouldn't hurt a flea!! We had three stray cats,did our share. One has passed away.
