To all my HiLo friends in NY & NPA besafe and warm with the heavy snowfall. It is predicted to bring down power lines. We know how to camp survival. Today I went to sams club and Walmart and both stores were quite busy. People could be stocking up with storm provisions.

There will be the usual runs on milk, bread, bottled water, and toilet paper. Most important, if you have well water don't forget to fill the bathtub with water to use for flushing the toilet.

Hopefully all this will be gone by this coming weekend. We are in the Boston area with our trailer. It has been a continous rain from the time we left Ohio, thru PA, NY, and MA.

The storm missed us in NW PA. :) Erie vicinity and east not so lucky. Seven Springs Resort in the mountains near Somerset, PA got 10" of snow. They are opening one ski slope just for tomorrow. I guess that is to have a record for the latest day for skiing.

Storm supplies

Rich R. You forgot to put beer and other favorite drinks on your list. I usually go out for Indian gas on Monday,5cents off. While we are out I get what I need to save gas and time. I try not to shop on the weekend as the stores are crowded, also lots of Canadians eh. Helps our tax base!!. We got no snow in Niagara Falls. I'm glad the weather people were wrong. Just enough rain to float Noah's Ark. We purchased a ride around lawn mower,1st.one we have owned. When it dries out we will be back to yard work. It is going to be dry Thur,Fri, Sat and Sunday and in the 50's. Our HiLove NY camping club is getting together for some fine dinning on Sunday.

We are getting some white frosting on the lawn now, but not the 15" they were predicting. I already have the beer. :D The outlet center near us gets allot of business from Ontario, no taxes on clothing, eh. Being beside I-79 makes it an easy stopping place for them on their way to Florida, plus they come down on charter coaches before Christmas.

one of the guys from the jobsite lives in ligonier and he had six inches on his truck this morning. Heavy snow blew up a transformer that caused a brown out at the school that I'm working on.

Somewhere on the mountain ridges, I believe they said in Cambria Co., reported 18".
