Well- after a couple of years of fretting and worrying about my old TV, as mentioned before, I got a different one. This last weekend I finally got it all hooked up and we went off on 3 night trip. Worked great! Great power, great ride, so-so gas mileage but i actually got about a 1-2 mpg bump over pulling with the smaller Ford V8. So- now , I, too, will be in a hunt for new truck tires and am still waiting for the new tires on the trailer. Need to re-tweak the WDH set-up as the appropriate height seems to be right in between the adjustment settings and I'm running a bit low in the front---but do-able. Anyway- just felt a need to announce it. I suppose I should have posted a picture but then you all would have been telling me it "looks low in the front". ;) I'll wait until I get it set-up better.

Ah, Rick, you know us SO well! ;)

I think the Nissan will do very well for you. Congrats!

As I recall, from my Equal-I-Zer manual, it's better to have the tow vehicle slightly low in the back rather than too much weight transferred to the front. (If you can't get it perfect.) I believe this does more to equalize braking effectiveness in a sudden stop.

Jack, Right you are.

Actually, the trailer is low in front and not running level. The truck I had adjusted, though, the rear( of the truck) was still lower than I wanted but I didn't want to bring the front end any further down by taking another link of chain out of the equation. It did not seem to effect the towing but its noticeably "bow" down more than I like. I eyeballed it when I originally set it up and didn't measure and the raised height of the trailer sort of threw off my perception. At any rate- tried adjusting the angle of the ball but I need more than that is going to give me. The back of the stock Titan is raised pretty good so I've got to move everything up another notch above what I already did. I'll post pictures when I'm finished. :)
