Gray water - Black water

We are picking up our Hi-Lo two weeks from tomorrow. I am so looking forward to that. My question is, (actually it was Del's question) when you are hooked up at a campground, can you open a valve or turn something so that the blackwater and the graywater go into the sewer hose at the same time or does one tank have to collect and then be dumped later. I guess what I mean is can it be kind of like your house so you don't have to worry about it and just flush everything out when you're ready to get on the road again?

I have a 2208t towlite. Both the gray and black water drain out of the same hose. The gray and black water tank have individual levers depending on if you want one to drain individually or both to drain simultaneously.

Yes, two seperate tanks, two seperate valves, and one hose to drain. You never want to leave your black tank valve open while you are camping. The "liquid" part will drain out leaving you with the "mud" in your tank. This will cause you problems later on. You need a sufficient amount of gray water in your tank to follow up the black water tank flush. You drain the black water tank first then your gray water tank. By doing it this way you are rinsing out your drain hose and eliminating any "globs" that might remain in the hose. Main thing is to learn water conservation while you are camping. This way you won't have to worry about your tanks overflowing.
