Hello all. My wife and I have been pondering on a Hi-Lo for a few months now. We've had two Apache popups and finally stepped up to a 24 ft travel trailer. As is often the case, wind drag is brutle and really affects the tow vehicle. We like the low profile of the Hi-Lo's, but wonder about the bathrooms. They look awful small in pictures. ( I'm six foot and near 300 lbs ) Are they as compact as photo's male it look? I'm not aware of any closeby, so can't get a first hand look at the campers.

My specific question,,, which model has the largest bathroom?

I believe Classic models have the biggest bathrooms. Keep in mind that most campsites have shower houses that are fine with the use of flip flops.

If you would like a HiLo but think the bathroom may be to small you have nothing to worry about. At 6 ft. 2 in. and 230 lbs. I have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about.
My wife and I almost never use the campground bathrooms and never have a issue with the size of the bathroom in our 29 ft. HiLo classic. However you will have to empty your gray water and fill your fresh water.
I just look at that as one of the chores that need to be done when camping. The blue totes for emptying the gray and black water tanks make that a simple task. If you have sewer and water hook ups you have no more to do then at home.
That's one of the things I like about camping, all the work you have at home stays at home when you go camping. I've re-discovered one of the activities I enjoyed in school, reading. ENJOY.

Welcome to the forum. I can't speak to the bathroom size, but I can tell you that my camper is 6'6'' inside, which is pretty unlike many models. You'll definitely enjoy towing it, mine is a 1969, and it pulls much better than the regular campers I've towed.

We have a 1994 17 ft. Towlite. Our Chevy Trailblazer (V6) struggles pulling it down the highway. So we never wander too far to camp!

Also, the bathroom in ours is small and tricky... I am 6'5 and 185 lbs - I struggle.

Welcome Jason! We find the bathroom in our 24' model quite roomy for the size of the trailer. I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. It's not overly roomy like something you might find on a big class A motorhome but it's more spacious than the one I had on my older 22' Lazy Daze class C which had a hard door and a wet toilet/sink combo. The fact that the shower uses a curtain rather than a hard door gives it a little more elbow room.

You really just need to visit as many owners and dealers that have them to know for sure. When you do, step in the shower, sit on the commode and just imagine yourself in it doing your normal activities to get a good sense of whether it will work for you. Good luck on your search!

Bathroom sizes

We put a riser on our RV toilet to make it ADA compliant. The few extra inches make for a very comfortable sit down. I would think this would be a must for you taller folks.

Thanks for the replies folks. Seems like opinions on bath size vary based on personal perceptions,,, and I'm just gonna have to get inside one to know for sure. I generally do take advantage of the bath houses,,, but it'd be nice to have the option not to. Locally there are a couple of nice campgrounds that require you to be fully self contained. I haven't been able to check them out yet due to the tiny bath/shower set up in our current TT.


I've go a feeling I'll me a Hi Lo owner before too long.
