I've used Boeshield T-9 spray lubricant on the guide rails......but it's good on many other items, too. It's big in woodworking circles....used to lubricate saw blades and to prevent rust on all tools.
"Boeshield was developed by The Boeing Company for lubrication and protection of aircraft components
Boeshield is great for use in Marine, Bicycles, Automotive, Tools and Aviation
Boeshield loosens rusty and corroded parts and is safe on paints, any metal surfaces, plastics & vinyl
Boeshield dries to a thin waxy film that clings to metal for months
T-9 flushes out dirt and old lubricants and displaces moisture and penetrates moving parts"
Available on Amazon, Walmart, etc. Expensive, but like Brylcreem, "a little dab'll do ya"
Good luck!
