I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone on the forum a Joyous and Merry Christmas (remember the reason for the season) and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. If you are traveling, have a safe one.

Bob

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New year. Remember Christ who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. I quote-- It is better to believe in God and find out there is no God, than to not believe and find out there is a God.

Merry Christmas everybody!! hope your holiday season is the best ever!

i just want spring to come!!!!

Off to Monterey and Carmel

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We are headed out Christmas Day to a full-hookup RV Park in Monterey for three days, our first full-hookup. Stand by for photos!

Peace,

Anyone,
Tell us about the cool stuff, for your Hi-Lo (or camping in general), that you either received, or gave, for Christmas!

Well, Didn't get it yet but a 100 Watt solar panel is on it's way. The fun part will be installing it, which may have to wait till spring.

Got a Prodigy brake controller and a SureLock digital TV signal finder. Can't wait for spring to try them out.

I been using a Prodigy Brake controller for years and it works great. I think you will like it, just don't set a boost if you don't need it. The dealer set the first boost setting and having the trailer stop you on a dime wasn't to pleasant. My trailer weights around 3800#, just a standard setting works great for me.
Will be waiting to here how the TV signal finder works.

Our new (to us) 2704T was our early Christmas present to each other. Now I'm looking forward to getting the #1 item on the birthday list: one of those trailer tire monitoring systems recommended by JackandJanet. Our experience with two simultaneous flats in the Nevada desert showed the value of being able to monitor tire failure or pressure loss, and temperature trends! Said system wouldn't have kept the nails out of our tires, but at least we'd have immediately known when we picked them up....perhaps saving the tires.

I'm also curious to hear how well the digital TV signal finder works!

I picked up my Christmas present yesterday on the way back from Indiana. A 2001 24TD! Unfortunately It snowed all the way from Lexington, Ky to Knoxville, TN so it got real salty. It's supposed to warm up this coming weekend so I'll get it all cleaned up!

Boater,

Congrats on your new trailer! Please post some pics after you get it cleaned up.

How was towing it in the snow? That's something I've never done.

We see on the news that you folks in the east are REALLY getting a snow dump. Sure wish we were getting it in the west, we can always use the water come spring!

Happy trails,
Jim

Thanks - Well towing in the snow wasn't my favorite thing to do my first time on the road with it but it seemed to pull just fine. Had to climb snow cover I-75 over Jellico Mountain. Everyone was going about 20MPH and many were in the ditch. I put it in 4 wheel drive and had no slipping. Luckily coming down the other side wasn't as snowy. I'll post some pics and I'm sure I'll have some questions for you guys as I start using it.

Merry after Christmas Christmas!
Besides the celebration of the greatest Gift.
I am the proud new owner of an outdoor carper and stair covers for my 2693RD. as well as some new grille tools to keep on board.
and a new CCW, but that's another story....;-)

Boater,

Now that you're an old hand at towing in snow, you should plan a winter camping trip to Yosemite National Park. Like NDgent did this last Novemer! :)
