Did the 17' towlite lose weight AND length in in 2006 or just weight?

A seller of a 2004 Towlite 1709 says her camper is 19' 6" tip to tip. Brochure says it weighs 2690 UVW. Brochure says length is 17' 9" excluding the spare. She does have the spare, but I doubt that should at 2'.

The 2006 and 07 model brochure (1706T) says 2497 UVW. it seems to have Almost 200 lbs?

The spare on our 2310H sticks out 11". Not everyone has the same concept when it comes to measuring evidently. The factory spare and mounts haven't changed in quite a while.

The out the door weights can vary from one year to the next depending on how the trailers are equipped, and most times they are heavier than what the brochure says because of factory added options such as A/C, dual batteries, and 30 pound LP tanks, etc.

My 1707T weighs close to 3500# with NO water in the fresh water tank. Now, I DO have a second battery in the battery compartment, 3-4# solar panels, and I carry some hand tools, propane canisters, wheel chocks and the like, but everything else came from the factory.

The tongue weight in that configuration is close to 500#.

The ONLY way to know what your trailer weighs, is to weigh it!

Maybe she is measuring from the hitch to the bumper?

The hitch to the bumper is the proper measurement on a Hi-Lo. Most conventional travel trailers measure the length of the box but Hi-Lo chose to do it the other way.
