How do I turn on brass hanging lamps?

Tree, we disconnected wires and trashed old brass 12 volt lamps. They were badly corroded and looked terrible. No on-off switches to be found anywhere.. I plan to cover small holes with pictures firmly attached. Wires were capped and shoved back into walls

Got plenty of recessed 12 volt lights, about 8 I believe.

Tree, gonna cover small hole over main dining table with new smoke detector. And will cover other two (up front) with small framed pics firmly secured to wall.

Sure wish I could determine whether or not my '96 FunLite has built-in batt charger, but she seems NOT to. What should I look for? This charger would seem to be visible. What does it look like? I see nothing which resembles a charger, but I am newbie.

Jerry, not sure where your charger would be. I've updated many Hi Los and have seen them all over the place. Mostly stowed up front, streetside. (to save wire, they are usually near the power cord). Have seen then in the bath cabinet and under the dinette seat next to the heater. Most are in the 8" X 10" X 3" size, although even this varies. All have many wires leading to it, so look for a bundle and follow it. Also suggest you get a good multi-meter, and unplug shore power, wait a while, check batt voltage-- plug in shore and retest. Voltage SHOULD increase, maybe as high as 13.6- 13.8v.

In my 1985 the charger is located in the same metal box as the power converter, and 12v fuse panel.
Next to frig.

It will be in close proximity to the shore power cord lead-in. 120v only runs 4 things, frig, AC, 120v wall plugs, and the power converter/charger.

If you can't tell if the recharge function is working.
Check the battery volts with a multi-meter.
Unplug from shore power and continue to use as normal, lights/fans. You will only be using 12v power, from the battery.
Check the battery after a day with your trusty multi-meter for volts.
It will be lower in number and will give you an idea of your usage, per day.
Then plug the shore power cord back in and check the battery again in 24 hours. It will/should be back up to the original value.

This same question is on a different post?

Thanks guys. I see no charger whatsoever. Looked everywhere. So, I got to conclude my '96 FunLite has no charger......Or it is very well hidden.

My Junior trickel charger will do no Harm because it idles once batt is fully charged. It does not overcharge. I've used on many motorcycles and have never faced an overcharge. When sig light on charger goes green, batt is fully charged. Even after batt is fully charged, Junior Batt Charger will do no harm because it is DESIGNED to idle once max volts have been reached.

Tree, thanks very much. Per your suggestions, I've looked everywhere, especially near where shore line enters trlr. Nothing anywhere. I will test voltage as you suggest. Thank you again. Like you, I CANNOT believe my '96 FunLite came without a charger but just maybe it was removed. A tip was discovery of portable batt charger within batt compartment, just ahead of pump and just behind mounted batt......

The converter could have been removed. Maybe it pooped out along the way.

I hope you realize that you are running the same basic conversation on two separate threads. Keeping it on one would be less confusing to everyone. Just saying.
