First is the old bottle- 2nd is the new look today.
Just cleaning up the Treehouse a bit today and with the top down I extended the awning about half way and found the awning was just awful. Dirty, moldy and slimy from the rains. I DO open the awning about once a month, but never really paid attention to to it's condition.
I went to the "white cabinet" where we store all the cleaning supplies, waxes, oils etc and found a partial bottle of household cleaner from CVS stores-- well lets see if this will help the awning. I started and only stopped to go to CVS to get another bottle. This stuff cleaned it so well, I just had to share the news. No need to spend a fortune on awning cleaners or use bleach compounds. $3.99 and a terry cloth rag and about 1- 1/2 hr for both sides. I'll rinse and dry it before applying water proofing. Wish I had taken before and after pics

Awning water proofer.

On our vinyl awning after washing and drying DH uses Son of a gun. Purchased at Walmart. When we are out camping a slightly wet rag cleans up any spots. We just broom it off and it stays clean. We do a through clean every other season.
