NADA shows 85 Voyager as 25' , 7'5" and wt of 3775#
Also shows models as 25B,R,D,T
Can anyone tell me the meaning of the B,R,D,T

BTW I have a 85 25' Voyager with door behind the wheels, rear bath, side and front sleeper lounges.

Tks, jimmy1

The letters indicate the different floor plans that were available that year.

Yes I would have guessed that the letters indicated floor plans, am wanting to know what each letter went with what floor plan? Did HILO even stay consistent from year to year with their model letter usage? I am surprised there seem to be so few rear door models out there as I really like the rear door layout. Will have to look at the brochures in the library again and see if I can put together a letter/floor layout table.

hi Sam
does the R stand for "rear door" maybe?
any idea what the D indicates?

mine has a jack-knife lounge along the drivers side length-wise with a skinny two post table in the aisle in front of this lounge.

there is also a sofa/bed lounge along the front wall under the swing down bunk.

tks, jimmy1

Perhaps the RD is for "rear door". As in Sam's post
Not a separate, R, D , ? ,?

I just read my vin plate and it says "2185L".
21' X 1985, L unknown designation
Date of manufacture is not stamped on my vin plate

It is a 1985 Funchaser

Tks Bob
Maybe mine is a 25RD as is Sams. As I actually have two sofas that convert to long twin/long full size beds those letters make more sense.

Does anyone know why the Voyager name was used with some classics?

Thanks all for this info on identification.

renoites, I looked at NADA again and yes they show your Funchaser as 21L,D
would be nice is someone could say what the L stands for.

Jimmy1, your model is a 25R. In 1985 HiLo did not have a "RD" model. In later years HiLo incorporated the trailer length and year made as the model #. My old unit was a 29' 2001 with a front lounge. Thus the model # was 2901L.

Bob

Bob I am really not following this yet. Why would it not be a 25RD if I have a rear door AND a front sofa that converts to a long (80") double bed?

Also you are saying HILO had different meanings for the Model Letters across different lines and/or years.

By the way I cannot find a VIN# on the unit, the only tag is a barely readable aluminum tag by the door which I think is a State of Colorado replacement ID Tag with some make up VIN#.

jimmy1, That is the way HiLo did it in 1985. In 1988 the Voyager model was given the "RD" lettering to designate the rear door model. I believe it was in 1990 when HiLo changed the model #'s altogether to show the length, year made, and the floorplan designation. Try looking on the frame near the propane tanks for the VIN #. It maybe stamped into the frame there. Hope this helps you out.

Bob
