Lift cable slipped

Looking under my new 99 hi-lo and noticed that at the left hand side double pulley one of the cables appears to have slipped over to the other side. Cable is in really good shape, everything is working fine, but I am worried about it. No way to nudge it over now due to the tension. Wondering if there is a way to loosen the tension and safely move this cable back over - without messing everything up. Looking for suggestions. See pic

You COULD try to jack the top up and support it on 2x4s, if it is down. If up, you could simply lower it onto 2x4s.

Probably, though the simplest way, if it's down, is to loosen the tension at the adjusting bolt for that cable and then unscrew the lag screw where it's attached to the top. After moving the cable, reattach it and then restore the adjusting bolt position.

Fixing cable slippage.

The cable screws are located on the drivers side between the wheels. I have found it helpful to use a permanent marker to mark where the thread is showing. That way when you put it back you have a reference point that is accurate. This post tells how to break the halves apart. 3-3-2010. Cable replacement in my 1998 HiLo 24TD. Best of luck with your repairs.
