Have seen quite a few posts lately about guide rods bent, cable issues, pulleys falling off etc... Thought I would just add a thread to help remind everyone that preventative maintenance will help maintain the hydraulic system on our HILO trailers. It really only takes about 1/2hr to crawl under the trailer and lube up the main components to prevent corrosion. Also here is a picture of the lubes that I have used on my cables and guide rod, very inexpensive as compared to the costs associated with repairing a broken hydraulic lift system. I use the dry lube to spray all the cables and pulleys with and the white lithium grease to put on the guide rod after cleaning it off. Hope this helps
