Hi,I just joined and have a few questions
I am thinking about buying a 1992 Hi Lo 21 foot fun lite
First the guy is asking $3000.00 for it is that a reasonable price for the year model and model?
He said it is in great shape, comes with load levelers, the tires are new,no leaks,2 new spares, and a class 3 hitch

I have never owned a hi lo and wondering if I would ever have to replace the cables and or pulleys ,hydrolics etc how expensive would it be and how much?

Also how bad are they to leak and are they hard to keep warm or cool?

My use would be to hunt and fish out of within a 200 mile radius all flat driving, and I have a 1996 ford ranger extended cab 4wd with the 4liter 225 horsepower 6 cylinder engine, automatic.Would that be enough to pull the 3000 pound camper under the conditions I described?

Anything else I need to know ,oppinions of the model etc will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Craig

I towed our 2310H with a 2007 Tacoma Crewcab, V6, automatic with no problems. It had a tow package. The 2310H was probably pushing 5000 pounds when loaded for the road. You should check the tow rating for your vehicle.

Here is what NADA says about the 1992 models.

If it is in exceptionally good shape it could fetch more.

Be sure to check for leaks and signs of sidewall bulging which indicates wrought inside the walls.

Hi,it is rated at 5500 pounds,I was just concerned if the Ranger with its lighter weight (about 3500 lbs) would be pushed around very much by the 3000 pound camper under the conditions I described.

Thanks
Craig

Please ensure you have a brake controller! I'm sure many on this sight have had the experience of SWAY. We did with our pop-up. Put in the controller and if it began to sway, just touch the brake and it straightens out. Not so much with a Hi Lo but it can happen.
