Hi my name is Carl and my wife is Mary...We live in Ohio outside Cleveland. About 6 weeks ago we purchased our 2008 Hi Lo 15 ft towlite.. This is the second Hi Lo I;ve owned. Previously I had the 22ft silver.
We purchased it knowing it would need a lot of work...
It is presently in for major repairs at J and R trailer repair.. The owners are Jim and Rob, Jim worked for hi lo for 37 years..their shop is located in Mount Vernon Ohio..Both Jim and Rob are very knowledgable, hard working, and do great work...They are rebuilding both of my side walls..In and out..The walls delaminated from water..the cause is the factory never put putty in place..And as they progress in the rebuilding they keep you informed by taking pictures showing what is being done...They both are truly a god send...
Also they stock most of the parts for hi los..
Their phone number is...740-392-1600
Have a wonderful day...I will keep posting the progress on our trailer...

Welcome to the forum. JR Repair, Jim and Rob are well known on the forum. They are a real pleasure to deal with. I've ordered parts and pieces from them before and if they weren't about 1800 +/- miles away from me, I'd have them give my trailer a once over. Enjoy!

Working on our 2000 Hi-Lo and new member

Hi, I'm Tawna and my husband is Gary. We live in Agua Dulce, Ca.
I am the new owner of a 2000 18' Hi-Lo. Working through figuring it all out. I have all the instructions, etc., but some info just isn't explained very well, like the valves on the water heater......
Anyway, my husband is very good at figuring and fixing so I am in luck! ;)
Don't really like the layout..would rather have a small dinnet in the kitchen area that would be up for use whenever we get out of bed (large front dinnet)
But Love Love the king size bed!
See you on the road:cool:

Welcome to the forum, Tawna and Gary, and congrats on your new Hi-Lo! I'm just up the road from you in the Tehachapi area. There are several other owners in California that are forum members and we recently had our first camp out together. Let me know if you are interested in future camp outs and we'll put you on our e-mail list. In the meantime, we are all happy to help with any questions you may have.

Welcome to the Forum!

Give this video a try:
It leaves out a couple details. 1. When draining the system there are two drain lines under the trailer that should be opened to allow water to drain out of the pipes. 2. When draining the water heater open the pressure/temperature relief valve on the heater. That will allow the tank to drain much faster.

Thanks Greg! We would be interested in the yearly campout for sure! Put us on the list.
BTW, how do I get my trailer and truck info and under my signature line and where do I get a signature line as well?

To modify your signature, log in, then click on "User CP" (Control Panel) which should be on the upper left. You will then have options to change your user profile. I'll send you a private message to get your contact info and will add it to our list. Private messages can be accessed from the Control Panel as well. Let me or one of our moderators (RichR or campthewestcoast) know if you need assistance.
