Just got back from my first trip in my new to me 2000 290B. It was mainly a take to the shop trip in New Braunfels, TX at a place called Stahman (the only relatively close Hi Lo dealers/repair shop in the area). I had them replace all four cables and the seal between the top and bottom. I had an appointment to do the cables and added the seal while they were replacing the cables. So it took a little longer than anticipated. I had them use the new type of seal, the black one not the gray. It took a little effort to get it to work but they managed to get it to work because the newer ones were made a little different then the older ones (not sure how). All I know now is that she is well sealed and works like a champ. I will take it in a month or so to get it adjusted after the cables stretch some unless I can figure out how to do it myself. Next, tomorrow, I will put Eternabond on the roof as a preventative (I don't have any leaks and according to previous owner it has never leaked). Then I plan to be able to relax and enjoy her, hopefully problem free for a while. I will be taking her to Garner State Parker in TX over Memorial Day weekend.

We went to J & R Repair in Butler Ohio to have the seals changed and also had electric jacck installed. We are in South Louisiana wish I would have known Stalhman did repair would have gone there. We went there when we we looking for HiLO's. Duh!!! forgot about them. Had a nice trip to Ohio anyway.
