I have just gotten s 2005 tow lite 1705. I'm having electrical issues. I have a 110 cord from the house plugged onto the shore power cable. I can raise and lower it fine. When I put master switch opposite from raising it the lights work . But I have no power to Any of the outlets. Also the fridge won't work and on the ac the fan won't even come on. I've tested outlets with my fluke meter and nothing. When I turn on the pump switch I can hear it come on. Any ideas what my problem is?

There are two possibilities, riverdawg, and welcome.

First, the inside 120V AC outlets are generally protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) in one of them. Look for an outlet that has two buttons in the middle between the two points where you insert plugs. One is "Test", which kills power to ALL the outlets, and the other is "Reset", which will restore power if the GFCI has tripped.

Next, inside your converter, there are a bank of Circuit Breakers. One of them is a "Master", They are just like the ones in your home and if the Master has tripped, it will kill ALL 120V AC power. Reset it if it has and reset any of the others that may have tripped too.

There's really nothing else that can cause your symptoms, except a faulty shore power cord, or no power at the house outlet you are using. The converter in the trailer doesn't do ANYTHING to the 120V AC power distribution except to pass it through those Circuit Breakers.

The indoor lighting and the water pump are all 12VDC, and they may be taking their needed power from the battery, as does the tip lifting motor. Is the battery being charged by the converter?

I'll check battery and shore cable connections. The gfi outlets( I have 2) are tripoed. I tested them and they wouldn't reset I'm assuming because there is no incoming power. The non gfi outlet also had no power. All breakers were on. None tripped. I'm assuming the master is with other breakers on panel but I'll check again to make sure I didn't miss it. There is power from house to shore cable. Ill pull shore cable all the way out and check it. Thank you jack!!

OK, riverdawg. First, the "non-GFI outlet" is REALLY GFI protected. It's part of the circuit that one of the GFI outlets protects.

Second, if the GFI outlets will not reset, you have an "open ground", which the GFI's protect against. So, somehow, the grounding wire in your shore power input is possibly broken, or does not make good contact where it's connected, or your home circuit has an open ground.

In my trailer, the GROUND wire is behind the converter and it's a bare copper wire. Don't confuse it with the white neutral wire. That wire should provide a complete circuit back to the ground wire at your home outlet. If it does, then you MAY have an open ground in your house wiring. If that outlet is not GFI protected, then you would have power there, but it would trip the GFI's in the trailer. And, you would have a potential shock hazard using that home outlet.

The GFIs WILL reset if not powered, but as soon as non-grounded power is sent to them, they will trip again. You can use a simple receptacle tester, like this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Power-G...C6q6TXNBU2ddfeYcXaK2dbVawqQi228-oUchRcdpOVmWk
to check for correct circuit wiring, both in your trailer and in your home.

Your trailer battery is connected fine and is good, since you can raise the top, and the lights and water pump work. If you test the terminals with a multimeter and you get above 13 Volts with shore power connected, your battery is also being charged by the converter. I suspect that is the case, since an open ground will not prevent the converter from transforming AC power to 12V DC for battery charging.

I checked shore power cord. I pulled it all the way our and about 3/4 of the way up on cord looks like someone left it out and drove down the road. The coating is off and some wires exposed. So now I have power unplugged and am going yo try to ge t shore power cord from one of several camper places in mY area. I'll post back if that solves it but from c condition of cord I'd bet it is the problem. Thanks

Pwer cord

I would tell you to price a cord on the internet. You can usually get a better price and shipping is within a day or so. I know a new cord won't be cheap.
