Mowedf our grass at our lot where we park our HiLo. I was hoping to take a picture of the slit in our rubber roof, but need our ladder. A small section got a slit in it and possibly got wavy with water underneath when DH washed the roof/trailer. The area of concern seems to dried up nicely. DH was thinking of slitting the loose rubberarea back to make sure there is not wood rot. Do we need to glue the loose rubber roof area down and then put a rubber roof patch on it ordo we just clean the area good with alcohol. Let it dry and put the rubber roof patching material on without glueing. Defenitely want to get a handle on the problem before it rains. WED. On our last trip to our HiLo dealer we purchased a roll of rubber roof patch material for a couple of small slits where the roof turns to go over the narrow edge and the roof terminates. We have had rain and our first patching job seems to have held up. How many years does a rubber roof hold up? Approximately. When do you replace the rubber vs multiple patches? Don't want to mess up our inside restoration job!! Dh has a few places to re prime with kool seal and touch up with kool seal topcoat. The majority of the roof looks in great shape and no dammage on the inside!!!!
