I’m looking at replacing my Hi-Lo trailer front door lock with the RVLock v4 with Integrated keypad for RV. The manufacturer says it will typically fit in most trailer doors without any modifications. Also, it will take about 10-15 minutes to swap out.

Has anybody had any experience installing and using the RVLocks on their camper? I would hate to buy on, then having to send it back if it isn’t compatible with my camper.

Please advise. Thanks!!

Ken, I have no experience with RV Locks, but I notice the webpage for this item shows the dimensions of the lock to be replaced and the dimensions of the door opening. Why don't you check your trailer's lock and door dimensions and go from there?

Well, I don’t have access to my camper right now and the locks are on-sale (20% off). My camper is stored in my brother’s barn about 2 hours away (4 hours total) and I can’t get it out of storage until the Governor lifts the travel ban. So, I was hoping someone already installed one in their camper.

I bought one of their V4 locks for my fifth wheel and it works great. Before I put it in the fifth wheel I tried it on my Hi-Lo (2807C) and it was too big: There wasn't enough space between the handle and the window frame. I think their compact model might fit as it doesn't appear the be as large.
