Quick question for the experts: When I was peeling old dicor from seams on a 1995 towlite today there was something that looked like plumber putty behind it that had been used to fill the bigger gaps only it was still pliable after all these years Any idea what that was and where can I find a replacement or substitute before I run new dicor beads on the seams? TY in advance for any guidance!!

Butyl tape & it's available at RV supply houses, Amazon, and many hardware stores. (My local Ace Hardware has it in their RV section). Usually 1/8" thick and either 3/4" or 1" wide. Comes in white or tan, & perhaps other. It's like American Express.....don't leave home without it!
