Hubby and friends are almost done replacing the cables on our 1999 31 foot Classic. They need to know if when connecting the cables to the anchor bolts on the upper half should the HiLo be in the up or down position? They have been working on it all weekend and would like to finish today. Thanks!

What position was it in when disconnected? Some tension should always be kept on the cables to prevent any from coming off the pulleys.
When I replace cables or seals, I have the top up, and I fix a 5 gal bucket filled with water, an "S" hook and bungee cord. Then lower the top in reverse of how it was separated, with the seal below the upper trim, I connect the cables and LOWER the top. With several eyes all around the top, I raise and adjust each cable if/as needed.
If your in the UP position, connect the cables and LOWER the top a bit (10" - 12") and adjust from there. It has always worked for me, and others will chime in soon.
