This is probably not a new idea, but I will post it anyway.
Our '84 Funchaser does not have factory stabilizers. It came to us with the screw stand jacks. I was not a fan.
I went to the local salvage yard and picked up 4 scissor jacks for $10 each. The all have 3/4 bolt heads on them, so paired with a cordless drill, I have a good set of stabilizers. Works like a charm, as they say.
