Good Afternoon HTF. My wife and I were out on our first camping trip of the year this week, and noticed some spongyness in the wall right under the window of our 04 22T the one in front of the sink. We also noticed it one of the other windows on the same side as well. I am sure that i have to reseal the windows, but in fixing the wall damage, do I need to take the top off and replace all the paneling or can I just cut out the damaged sections and replace with new pieces? Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm not an expert on towlite wall damage. Do a search for wall repair/towlite. Others have rebuilt towlites. You won't know how much wall damage you have until you tear the wall apart.

If you remove the window you should be able to see or probe the area for damage without tearing things out.

Rich R is correct in saying that with the window removed you can see the layers of your wall. This will give you an idea of wall condition/water damage. I did a back post on how to remove a window and how to reinstall. You Tube has a video on how to do this. Keep us posted. My windows were resealed with 2inch butyl tape that can be purchased at any RVstore or search the internet for a good supplier/price. This is a projet anyone can do. Took us about 2to 2/1/2 hrs. for each window. Well worth the effort to take out all your windows and reseal. SP/typo project.

Thanks for the replies I will pull the window and see how much damage has been done and then look at resealing all the windows. Looks like they all could use it.
Thanks again everyone.
Chris

I had some wall damage next to my window on my 95 Towlite. It was not from the window but from a leak in the seam on the roof. I sealed the seam with Eternabond tape as described by ... some helpful person's previous post.
