when is it all the way up ?

this might sound like a silly question .. but I bought a 69 last year .. pics are here some place of when I bought it .. its in very good condition for the year it is ... I have made some changes since the last pics of when I bought it ... I painted it ... tinted all the windows , had all the cushions redone, etc... we used it 1 time last year and it went up all the way .. I think anyway .. I raised it up this year and maybe its just me , but I not 100% sure its up all the way .. its goes up jut fine then it gets so far like its at the end of the line and pump starts making noise and it stops ? well pump don't stop it keeps making noise its just a different sound it makes when it gets to that point , than it makes while its raising up .... is it up all the way at this point ? or is the pump low on fluid ? is there a way to show for sure its up all the way ??? thanks

The change in sound is normal when the top is fully up. The top is fully up when the seals on the top meet the flange on the bottom. It's hard to see this all the way around, but that's what you should shoot for when adjusting cables. Do not try to get it to go higher than a good "seal meet". You will damage the lift system by distorting the bottom edge of the top where the cables attach or you can damage or rip out a pulley.

thats where it stops, when the pump makes the loud whine, its all the way up. just make sure that you have enough fluid in your tank,check it when it is in the down position

The pump squeal means it is all of the way up, or has hit an obstruction.

Make sure that the safety bar is engaged when you make it to the squeal and then toggle the 3 way switch to the down position to get into the locked position. The locked position is necessary for use, and takes load off of the hydraulic pump.
It will only release 1-2" before stopping if all is correct.

When ready to bring down into travel, toggle the 3 way switch to raise only briefly, pull on the safety bar release cable, and then toggle to the down position. This is a flowing maneuver. Up, pull, down....that quick.

Check fluid level at the pump well in the down position
