While winterizing my trailer last night, I discovered a single wire that is capped off on the back of the fuse box. It has a piece of tape on it that says, DSI 175". Can anyone tell me what it is for? Thanks!

DSI tells me that it has to do with the water heater. That could supply power to the Direct Spark Ignition if you have that type of WH. Is your WH that type?

Rich,

I have the Atwood G6A-7

That explains it, you have a conventional water heater with a pilot light rather than electronic ignition. The wiring is there and waiting for you to upgrade. The DSI/Electric WH was an option.

Wow! You get to wait until after Thanksgiving to winterize? A cold front scaring you west Texans?? :). 17 deg here last night.

Rick,

It's only gonna be 70 until next Tuesday the it drops down to 64! 23 predicted low on Dec. 8. I figured I get a jump on it. :)

Cold weather.

I watched the news today. The only place with 78degrees today is south Florida. The rest of the country is in the 30s/40s daytime. Keep the folks in your prayers that live along the west coast. They are going to get 18inches of rain, strong winds an electrical outages.

The rest of the country temps? Its been around 78-82 here for the last several weeks :D

Another wiring question. I decided to do a little exploring on the trailer today since I saw some posts on prewiring in different locations. Well, I found a yellow and white wire, both 14 AWG, in the forward L/H compartment under the loft bed (stowed position). I hope someone can tell me what they could possibly be for.

Do you have the water heater with electronic ignition? I think DSI is Direct Spark Ignition.

If the cabinets are the one directly in the front of the Hi Lo, they are probably battery & ground for a radio; at least that is what is in mine. The wires in mine are stored right in the center of the two cabinet drawer. It did not come with a radio installed and they put them there in case you want to add one.

Disregard that post. I was reading the first post in this thread. I could agree with the stereo wiring.
