Woven Walls?

We are replacing the bulb seal and adjusting the cables on my 2001 19 ft. HI-Lo. The list of instructions that I downloaded from this site says when removing the upper half to "remove all screws holding woven wood walls or pocket walls". What exactly is a woven wall and what does this mean? Why do you need to do this?

The only thing I can think of is the accordion like fabric and wood slats wall in the rear bathroom partition.

Yes, that wall/fabric must be taken loose from the lower half so the upper half can be raised beyond the limit of the fabric.

Thank you, that makes sense! A friend of mine (very talented repair/general fix it type guy) and myself (somewhat handy) are going to attempt to replace the bulb seal and adjust the lift cable, check the blocks, et. Am I insane for attempting this or should I just bite the bullet and pay the $1,200 to have it done?

Replacing bulb seal adjusting cables

You need to do these repairs yourself as you are handy. We replaced our bulb seal. Just follow the way it was originally installed. You will get to know your hilo better. Save your money for new tires...upgrade items.
