Default Icicle River RV Park, Leavenworth WA

We took the trailer out for the first time this season and went to Icicle River RV Park, in Leavenworth Washington. The campground is in the woods, right next to the Icicle Creek.

This is the first time that I drive this combination (Nissan Frontier V-6, 4X4, Hi-Lo 2408T) up and down steep mountain passes (US-2) and it did great. There were a couple of times that I had to slow to 45 mph uphill, but it was able to stay at 60 mph most of the way.

Looks nice, Raul! We have grandkids in the Puyallup area so hope to do some camping up there next year.

If you want a full-facility campground in a nice setting I recommend Icicle River RV Park. It's a nice home base to go visit the area. It looks like it will get crowded in the summer, so reservations are a must.

My daughter lives in Leavenworth and I have towed my Hi-Lo up there too ... great area to visit. She is a US fisheries biologist and professional rafting guide so get to take advantage of her knowledge of the terrain. Of course I've also been able to drop the trailer on her drive way and save the fees for Icicle Brewery Beer and brats at Der Hinterhof.

We enjoyed the brats and beer!
