Default 2001 22TL Hi-Lo Tow-Lite

Hi,
My name is Byron Temple, my wife's name is Debbie and we just bought a 22 foot Hi-lo from a young lady down on her luck for $2,700. It's in amazingly good shape. We live in western Ky. just west of Paducah, Ky. We had been looking for a camper for a while, (not a hi-lo, didn't know much about them) but after my wife saw this one she fell in love with it and it was light enough that I could pull it with my 2015 Dodge Ram 1500, 2 wheel drive. I have ordered some air bags for the coil springs because the tongue weight squatted my truck pretty good. We're nearing retirement age and are wanting to do some traveling around the country. Glad to have stumbled upon this forum while surfing one day and look forward to reading about others adventures with their Hi-lo's.

One question, I don't have a lp tank cover. is that an easy fix?

Welcome to the forum! Suggest you drop down to the reference section at the bottom, click on brochures, find the "sticky" for videos. There are about 32 videos on the operation of most the systems on the Hi LO trailer. Very informative. Stick around and visit often. Ask questions and eventually someone will answer.

My rig is a 2204T + Ram 1500. Just wondering if you'd considered a weight distribution hitch rather that air bags?

Do you think the hitch would be better than the air bags, Dave?

Yes I do. Of course it'll also distribute the weight. Way to go IMO.

p.s. Pick one up cheaply off Craigslist, after all, they're just hunks of metal.
