    Missing pulley

Wow!! It appears like the angle iron that extends outward from the main frame sheared off completely!! The iron/metal that broke off, is where the pulley gets bolted to. You will most likely need the have a similar piece of iron welded back onto the main frame and then install a pulley at the...

    Waste Tank Capacity

Hello everyone, A couple of weeks ago I replaced my grey waste water tank sensors. I had do drill new holes on the tank to install the new ones because of No access to remove the old ones and install the new ones. Anyway while working underneath I noticed that my grey waste water tank appeared...

    Grey Waste Tank Sensor Wiring

We just got back from a six day camping trip, and I'm happy to report that after drilling new holes on the grey waste tank to install the new Horst Miracle Probes Tank Sensors, there are no leaks and the panel is registering each tank level sensor correctly!! It always showed either 1/2 or 3/4...

    Grey Waste Tank Sensor Wiring

Hello everyone, I need help figuring out a wiring problem I'm having with my grey tank sensors wiring, (it's a problem that I created!!). I replaced my grey tank sensors with Horst Miracle Probes, which was a little more work than I anticipated because I had to drill new 3/8 in. holes on the...

    Tank sensor wiring

Hello Jack, I sent you a PM, but I can not figure out how to attach photos to it. Any idea how to do so, or is that not possible on PM's?

    Keeping bugs out

Rainy and Riley, Yes I see what you mean, yours doesn't have the trim screws like some of the older model do; yours are probably glued down instead. In that case you can still use a garage door sweep and like Jack mentioned, you can then use a thin strip of wood from home depot to cover it. BTW...

    Cracked Back Cap

Hello Yankeetraveler, I had the rear inside wall apart on my HiLo due to water damage. I also had to take the rear tail light assemblies off on the outside because that's where you can gain access to the wiring and the disconnect plug. I did not have the rear cap off on my HiLo. Hope this helps.

    Keeping bugs out

There is usually a wood trim piece that is fastened down with screws on the upper halve for decorative purpose all the way around, yours may be different. Most models have it. A picture would help.

    Keeping bugs out

Hello, you can try my solution for this problem. I posted how I did mine using a garage door sweep in-between the two halves from the inside. I purchased the garage door sweep at Lowe's. With this modification (which you can do yourself) you don't have to separate/lift the two halves apart, plus...

    Holding Tanks

Does anyone know the exact capacity of the Black and Grey Holding tanks? We have a 1989RD classic; I have checked the reference library, the brochure says "Holding Tanks - 46 Gallons" I'm assuming that's the capacity total for both the Black and the Grey tanks. I would like to know the capacity...

    Bulb Seal Replacement

NTL1991, nice job!! This modification will for sure save you a lot of $$$ compared to taking it to an rv repair shop!! And it will definitely help keep critters and road dirt out!! I got this idea from another hilo forum member, where he installed it on the outside of the hilo. I wanted to...

    Bulb Seal Replacement

Yes, that is the correct orientation like I installed mine. If I remember correctly I had to trim a little bit of the garage sweep because it was a little too wide. I trimmed the smaller edge off of the sweep as shown on your posted picture; that was not difficult at all, that way it "lays" in...

Hoping to find bottommost awning brackets

I would have cleaned them puppies up, hammered them straight a little and taken them to my local welding shop; $40 weld repair/patch.

    Hydraulic Overflow Tank

Hello everyone, As I mentioned on this post, I was a little frustrated with my hydraulic system blowing some fluid out of the fill/vent cap every time I lowered the top in one non-stop express to the bottom operation (haha). I do believe that's how the system was designed to work, without...
