If it's an OEM fan, you'll hear it! I think Rich and retired are correct. My fan switch is white and h2o heater is black. H2o heater switch is momentary. A red light comes on until the heater is lit. Tree

The only way to safely do this is to raise the top all the way UP, remove the track, re-install the track into the guide and reinstall the track. ONE at a time to avoid the top shifting. If the guides are damaged (sounds like) you'll need replacements (good idea) before you start. Tree

Hope so, Welcome to the Hi LO forum. Dee is right about the windows leaking, that moisture can and does go anywhere. Check with the PO (previous owner) and see if the windows were ever removed, surfaces cleaned, butyl tape applied and windows reinstalled and caulk applied. That's one weak area...
