ok we re apolstered the dinette cushions in our 83 hi lo. looks great. now we are in the process of re apolstering the jackknife couch bed. one side i can get to the screws , the one by the door. but, the other side is close to the bathroom wall and no way can i get a screwdriver in there without taking the wall down. help is needed to figure out how to either get to the screws or take the wall down, please, any help will be welcomed.

ok it took alot of figuring out but i did it. ya me. could not get a right angle screw driver to fit into the crack that i had to work with. took cabinet under couch and dismantled it. was able to take the 3 screws on each side out, they hold the frame of bed on. ta da. wife is now re apolstering it . as soon as i figure out how to put photos up, i will . thanks . going camping on the 16th to alabamas gulf coast.

Glad you solved your problem without having to tear out the wall.

Dh has been frustrated a time or two with HiLo repairs. He gives it a day or so and then figures out what he needs to do.

Would like to see a pic of the couch as well. I feel like mine sinks more in some spots than it should and think I might be missing some reinforcements?

I've been tearing apart my 84' Hi-Lo and was faced with a similar issue with the jack knife couch. After tearing about the set of drawers on one end, I found an access panel inside the cabinet which, when removed exposed the screws to take release the bed frame from the wood base.
I'd also be interested in seeing photos, especially with the re-covering of the bed/couch.

Susan, her's our rendition. All the fabrics were changed and the entire place was painted.

Great Job!

You folks did an awesome job on your tip-out couch. Glad to see what can be done. Thanks for the photo. John
