    Hydraulic system leak

Jim, not 100% sure but I think the tube back to the reservoir has a check valve at the tank preventing fluid from the reservoir to the tube. Otherwise, the tube would always be filled with fluid. Basically, if the cylinder has an internal leak it sends the fluid to the reservoir. If all is well...

    Hydraulic system leak

Sounds as though your reservoir has a crack in it, or a leak at a fitting. Clean the area under it very well then put some Dextron type IV in it and see where it leaking. Sorry, don't know where to get a new reservoir. I doubt this loss of fluid is from the cylinder, but check the plastic tube...

    Help - reno questions

KellyAnn, If you want to SEAL it do as campthewestcoast suggests, but I think I would first get rid of any shiny spots with sandpaper, then prime, then paint. This will seal it very well. I do NOT suggest applying sealant to the entire exterior, depending on the type paint selected, it probably...

    Hello

Really glad you found the title! Replacing the cables is no fun job, but rewarding. Take your time, think two steps ahead. Each time a person replaces their cables, a new path is used and even following someone else's instructions, you'll find a slightly different method that works for you. Just...

    Grey water tank

Good plan, camp. Let us know how things are done and what your finial thoughts are. I think this season I'll just keep putting out my camp fire. We have gotten to that point in the past where we could have packed up, dumped and re-set up, but with just a few days left we just put out the "fire"...

    Grey water tank

camp, I'd do a lot of thinking about the best way to plumb a second tank to the first for draining it. But it is a great idea, I'll look [I]under[I] today. Also gotta think of weight placement or ensure a dump before travel. Tree

    Grey water tank

Jack, I've heard you can use 5 gal to put out your "campfire". I would think if you put out the fire 3 or 4 times a day you'd be okay. Never did it myself, of course. Tree

n2ak47, Welcome. Start with the reference library section titled "Hi Lo owners manual". After opening that, you'll see the sticky labeled videos--check them out. Great info.

    refrigerator

To give you an idea of how efficient they are, almost EVERY hotel and motel uses this system. How many rooms is that? No noise and they last a long time. Like camp says, installing more efficient "fin fans" help a lot. There is a mod in the "search" section for this.

Frame pull away at door frame

Don't know... Just looks as though there may be some build up of, perhaps, rust in the area. Can't really tell, if you can get a clamp and try to pull it together. If you can move it, then you'll have to go in there and clean it up. Or, just leave it alone. Not many people will notice. Just...

Frame pull away at door frame

From the looks of the guide block, that section looks great. Might try the door frame area. Does the door move at the bottom? Looks like it may have had some water intrusion for a while. Tree

What to look for when buying a used hi lo traiker

Peg, at the top of the opening page there is a "search" heading. Click on that, type in "buying checklist". gerogiegal asks the same question, click on gerogiegal and there is a check list! Also, what you have stated, a 2007 used 1701 Hi Lo is a bit misleading, 1701 is a 17 foot unit made in...

Outline for replacing the roof gasket

This is the plan I used to change my seal, Near perfect! I would suggest the following minor changes: this should require at least TWO persons, kinda hard to position two 2 x 4's when lowering the tongue jack. Also, remove the upper most guide rail screw BEFORE lowering onto 2 X 4's. Just as a...

    Hi-Lo 2306 primary wiring

Your right about the red light, my 24'er had that, my 27'er doesn't. That blue wire IS a bit confusing, as I thought the blue wire was the brakes.

    Hi-Lo 2306 primary wiring

The cable in the tube is the release for the safety bar. To lower the top, you first raise the top with the white switch for a second to ensure it's fully up, pull the cable an inch or so (it will stop) and use the white switch to lower the top. The cable pulls up the safety bar allowing the...
