    Boondocking at the Walmart

+1 for thanking Walmart. On another note: I will be cleaning up the trailer tomorrow, and taking it back to Chattanooga for storage. I phoned the new Cabella's at I-75 and Cloud Springs Rd. (the last Georgia exit going north from the Georgia Welcome Center). They confirmed that they do have...

what size BATTERY do I buy for 19T??

Check the how tall the Group 27 is. I think I looked at those and determined they would not fit my box. The two group 24 marine do a good job. Although I would prefer true deep cycle group 27s.

    Boondocking at the Walmart

Gregg, it was easy. We had to cut our trip to Canada short because of Lou's flair up of Rheumatoid arthritis. The cool, damp weather up north didn't help. We laid over in Maine a couple of extra days, but it didn't help. So we beat a fast trip home. Going by Scranton PA we asked "Funky...

    Boondocking at the Walmart

Yeah, I know. They had just come out of the camper, were folded. leaning against the camper. We then stored them in the Suburban. The light of day was leaving, so shot the picture to take advantage of that.

Planning first long trip in our Hi-Lo

So Far So Good We arrived at Greensboro Campground about 4:45pm. Good day on the road. The campground is good for an overnight stop. There is noise from I-40, the staff is accommodating, but it could use some freshening up. Great tiled showers. There was a big rain storm, but we turned on...

    Miles per gallon thread.

Our 2703 Tow Lite grosses around 5000# loaded. Our 6.5 Turbo Diesel gets about 14 mpg +/- on the Interstate at 60 mph. Every time it has been checked it was near the same mileage. Not too bad.

Hey Gregg, there is nothing hard about starting a blog. Pick out a host, pick out a format, set up the pages, and away you go. I use Wordpress.com for my host. No charge unless you do the advanced series. Google has one I think called Blogger, and there is another I think titled My Trip...

Starting Out We are ready to roll. Bearings, brakes, and tire pressures are checked out. The trailer is hooked to the Suburban. We will put the top down when we switch the refrigerator over to propane tomorrow morning. The plan is to leave about 0930 hrs to hit Atlanta after rush hour...

Digby is a great tip. I am hoping to get some really good pan seared scallops. We plan to see the tides roll in at the Bay of Fundy. I am starting to get really pumped about the trip. Thanks.

Thanks, Terry. We had planned for a quick overnight stop at Sudbury, but your route sounds very interesting. It may even be worth an extra day. I will be checking into that. With that and the Bush Plane Museum added, it's definitely worth an extra day. Hopefully, we won't be stricken with a...

Planning first long trip in our Hi-Lo

Thanks, Hilltool. There are several campgrounds around Lake Allatoona. One of the best is Red Top Mountain State Park. It is beautiful with great facilities at about $35.00 per night. RTMSP can be booked up, especially on weekends. I would suggest planning ahead for that. We are in a...

Planning first long trip in our Hi-Lo

First camping in our new to us Hi-Lo Finally, after buying the trailer in November of last year, we are camping. I bought it in Ocala, drove it to Tennessee, and winterized it. This is a sorting out trip, kind of a shake down if you will, before our planned 5 week trip to Canada. It is going...

Thanks. The bush plane museum sounds worth seeing. We did the U. P. and south shore of Superior a few years back. Lou has never been to Mackinac Island, so we wanted to spend some time there. It will be interesting to see how the pooch reacts to all the horses.:)

Thanks. Great info. We definitely plan to do the Cabot Trail. We may have missed the A. G. Bell Museum, but now will plan on stopping. If there is time we will do PEI. We plan to be on the south side of the St. Lawrence until we can cross by bridge. Thanks again. Don
