what size BATTERY do I buy for 19T??

Janice, either a size 24 or size 27 will work, but the group size 27 may not fit. It won't fit in my trailer, so I had to stay with group size 24. If you can fit it in though, a group size 27 gives you extra capacity and would be a better choice.

As mentioned, make sure you get a "deep cycle" battery.

I always find this interesting as I figured regardless of length the batterey boxes would stay the same. But, I know jack can only take a 24. In my 2201 I am able to fit two 27s

I was looking at this issue today as I would like to upgrade to Group 27 batteries from the current (pun intended) 24's in my trailer. I think the 27's will just barely squeeze into the battery box (battery length seems to be the limiting factor). Will probably wait until next year, though, since the 24's seem to be performing well.

Would eventually like to upgrade the converter/charger to a higher amperage multi-stage unit. Has anyone done this to their Hi-Lo?

The acceptable battery size is an interesting problem. My original single battery was mounted in the box at an angle and would not have fit if it were lined up parallel to the trailer centerline. There was space beside it for another Group 24 battery, so I added that.

If the measurements are "close" and you try for a 27, make sure you can exchange it if it doesn't fit.

Check the how tall the Group 27 is. I think I looked at those and determined they would not fit my box. The two group 24 marine do a good job. Although I would prefer true deep cycle group 27s.

Hi Don,

The batteries that came with my trailer are Group 24 Everstart Maxx 24DC (Wal*Mart). They measure (L x W x H): 11.0 x 6.9 x 9.5. I would like to eventually replace them with Trojan brand since they are true deep cycle type. The Trojan 6-volt golf cart batteries are too tall but Trojan does make 12 volt batteries also. Depending on what technology you purchase (Flooded, AGM or Gel), I think the height will work as they are all under 9.5" but the lengths are another matter! They are quite a bit pricier than most batteries but for boondocking (which I hope to do more of) they are better suited than most.
