    battery model

The narrowest group 24 I can find is 6 7/8th inches. Honestly, I think the only 12V battery I've seen that narrow is a motorcycle battery.

    battery model

Whoa, I just measured and my group 27 is 12" long by 6" wide, and 9" tall. Not even gonna come close to fitting in your space. Are you sure that the battery goes there? That seems awful small, especially when dual batteries were an option.

    battery model

A group 27 should fit nicely. 2 fit in my 2003 towlite and I might have been able to squeeze a couple group 29s in there. There really isn't a model number so much as a size and that's a group 27 marine battery or deep cycle battery.

towing with a 2010 DC toyota Tacoma 4x4

Good luck on the hunt! By the way, my miniceptor was an 85.

towing with a 2010 DC toyota Tacoma 4x4

I don't think checking the bearings is being too pushy but don't be surprised if the owner insists on doing the jacking. Hi-lo frames are lightweight and bend easily if jacked in the wrong place.

towing with a 2010 DC toyota Tacoma 4x4

This was taken from NDgent's post here on the forum. It is a great go-by list. You can do a search of thinking about buying and find his post to read it first hand. Basically, start with the visual items – 1. Exterior • Look for water stains and discoloration on inside walls and around ceiling...

towing with a 2010 DC toyota Tacoma 4x4

You'll be at or around 5200 with full propane and water tanks plus the dealer options and camping gear. That dry weight is the weight of the camper before any gear, fluids, or dealer options. If you plan to camp in the flats with few hills, you should be fine. If you have some mountains to go...

    12v or 6v

I also remember one of our members trying 6 volts and the batteries being too tall and the battery compartment lid contacted the terminals. I have dual 12 volt deep cycles on my hi-lo and have been pretty happy with them.

Wanting to buy a 2696 funlite off houston craigslist

Don't get discouraged Jim! I looked at 7 trailers, traveling as far as 200 miles to Las Vegas before I found the tow-lite I have now. Most of the ads made their trailers out to be as new or close to it, not mentioning bad awnings, stains, dead batteries, leaks, warps, in-operable lift...

    Trip #2-Vogel State Park

I think this last paragraph sums it up for me.There is nothing like coming back to your own home in the middle of paradise. Great trip report!

Sam, I'm guessing it's a link to the leaf spring suspension?

    Replacement hydraulic hose

A little late but I have only noticed that the door catches if I park off of level so that one axle takes up more of the weight, or I put the stabilizer jacks down with too much force (Just touching the ground is how they are supposed to be used). Simple things and I'm sure you've thought of...

Size of grey water & black holding tanks?

You can look in our reference library for a brochure for your year. I'm pretty sure your tanks are 30 gallons for fresh and grey and 14 gallons for the black tank, like my 2203.

    High Tongue Weight

Tongue weight is a good thing and your tacoma isn't overloaded, as long as you use a properly set up weight distribution hitch. Even without the hitch, your taco is within spec though your steering will be unsafe due to the tongue weight not being distributed properly. Fill your tanks without...

    Replacement hydraulic hose

If you can remove the hose, any tractor supply or "hoseman" type store can splice a new piece in or replace the whole thing.

    Redneck Tire Changer

I built one out of scrap 2X6 and yes, they work great. They don't damage the frame at all. You position the step ramp under the tire that will stay on, then break the lug nuts loose on the tire to be removed. Just break em loose, don't remove em as there is still alot of weight on the tire. Pull...

    Keep 12 volt battery charged?

I plug in my batteries for a couple of days once a month at home. That keeps em topped off. Leaving the trailer plugged in all the time will overcharge the battery and boil off the water inside, ruining the battery. A battery tender or a charger that has a float stage can be left attached all...

    Weight of a 1995 23' Funlite (23FLL)?

It should have a GVRW (max weight the trailer can weigh with cargo) of 5700 pounds. Tongue weight is 640 pounds. Figure the trailer going down the road will be about 4500-4800 pounds with full water tank, most options, full propane, camping gear, etc. The 3375 axle weight is the trailer...

    Trailer Dolly, Motorized

You're very welcome. I haven't used a powercaster myself but have a few buddies with narrow driveways and heavy trailers that have nothing but good things to say.

    Trailer Dolly, Motorized

Powercaster is the big player. I think there are some other manufacturers but none to my knowledge have been around as long as or sell as many units as powercaster. They are pricy but you can sometimes find them on craigslist. http://www.powercaster.com/Products.html

    BBQ Cleaning Brushes

I purchased one at costco that had replacable heads. Very heavy duty stainless handle with a bottle opener on the end. It works great and I don't think I'll ever wear it out however they won't carry them again till spring.

    HiLo Camper will not raise

You can also hook jumper cables to it like jump starting a car. Same principle, if you can get to the battery.

    HiLo Camper will not raise

The click you mentioned is what makes me think your battery isn't charged or isn't making contact with the cables well. Try turning on the heater on a cool night. If the fan spins right up like normal, your battery should be fine. If it sounds slow, look at the battery.

    Which brake controller

Another vote for the prodigy. I can't say it's a ton better than everything else out but can vouch that it's dead simple, does what it is supposed to do, easy to install, and reliable. I assume they are the most popular controller also because everyone seems to have em. I installed a P2 on my...
