I was told it was good for the tires if the camper was propped up and not resting on the tires (during long term non use)?

    My solar project

I'm still learning on solar. I just thought when you had a 12v system you have to have a 12v volt panel unless you get a voltage regulator to convert from 24v or 48 v or (etc) to 12v. I didn't know that the newer charge controllers can do that!

    My solar project

Well done. Are you dumbing down the power down to 12v? the strongest panel i've found in 12v is 210w.

Adding Solor to old HiLow & Wiring Upgrades

I've used 3 different batteries i'd rate them #1 two 6 volt golf cart batteries in series. They hold a charge and charge up fast with solar but are heavy and might need modification to fit in you battery area. #2 two lithium batteries. Much lighter and if charged/discharged correctly will out...

    Problem With Exterior Trailer Lights

Hey guys I don't mean to change the subject but I have a 2204T and my rear tail lights are giving me issues. Seems like a bad/short/open connection on at least one wire. I've narrowed it down to the rear bathroom area; on the side of the cabinets there is a pipe that collapses up/down. Anyone...

    swapping out mirrors?

Hello, I want to take out the mirror in the bathroom of my 2204T and replace it with a slightly bigger round one. I weighed it and it is 8.5 lbs. Might this be too heavy to mount on the wall? Or is it ok if mounted properly? What is considered the best way (some dirt roads can be bumpy!)? -Mike

    HELP - 2007 - Hi-Lo Towlite 22T Towing Advice

Hello, I would not recommend towing with your vehicle. I stripped my 04 22T down to bare bones and it was still over 4k lbs. I get nervous towing with my frontier rated at 6500 pounds.

How does my roof look to you?

I did clean and recaulk around most of the seams. I still need to do a recoat of some kind soon tho as now it is starting to peel these little white confetti looking particles. When it rains I just throw a tarp over for now. The roof does leak in two spots when it rains hard for hours. I think...

Replacing marine battery with deep cycle

Li batteries need to be charged by a Li charger. Don't plug it into your camper then pull it as the alternator could cause damage. The battery itself has a BMS (battery management circuit) but this has nothing to do with charging. It's more of a temp and short/open circuit interface. Li are...

    Design flaws - weight ratings

the weights of all these trailers are grossly underestimated! to make it look "good"? mine was several hundred pounds off! lame. IMO they should have added a sticker stating "this is the true weight of your trailer disclaimer: without water, stove, bed, batteries, frame, wheels, the little pull out...

    TV antenna

I am partial to an older post . . . an idea were a solar panel was hooked up to the antenna to move it to the optimal position from inside hand crank. I also jive the idea of a deck or a periscope. How about putting a solar shower or water jugs on roof before lifting! Let gravity do the work...

Thanks for the info guys. Jack I'm gonna try to get those numbers on the axles sorted. The numbers off on the sticker kinda make me think the numbers might be off on my tow vehicle as well!

    2204T Weight

My New 200 Watt Solar Installation (Now 300 Watts)

I've been working on my solar setup to the point that I can run an extension cord (from camper) to my office and have it power my work computer. I Was telling that to a friend and he insists to not do that and to just plug it right into my wall house outlet!? Really?

Does Hi-Lo Electric Cord Charge 12V Batteries?

I'm curious as well. Been thinking of going lithium and don't want any damage done to the Li battery during transit or by shore power charging (not sure mine has this or it's broken). Li charging is very specific.

Ways to earn money while full time camping

I was curious about this as well. Seems like more jobs are avail as work from home but I'm guessing you'd need mobile satellite internet. Sounds super expensive to get that setup. On top of that be working more as FT instead of at your leisure (unless it's part time).

    Refer Fan

I too only saw a rocker switch. I was also concerned as I didn't hear any fan noise and didn't visually see a fan anywhere. I normally have the AC on for the fridge and as of late I noticed the unit is not getting as hot. I took off the outside upper and lower panel and light up in between the...
