What is the blue foul wall insulation listed on my build sheet? I can't find anything about it on the FR website.
How about info on the WnP "DJ system"?
While I'm at it, is there such a thing as an anti sway mechanism built into the trailer hitch? My salesman has told me my 30fbw has one that...
I was doing some routine checks of my rig and found what appears to be loose white fiberglass type insulation in my Onan genset. I opened the front cover and the insulation was sitting on time of the motor just inboard of the carb.
Is this something Onan put there or did I have some field mice...
I had a rear tire blowout on my class c sunseeker mh and in the process it wiped off all the spray on insulation in the wheel well. I need to know, do I even need to replace that and if I do need to replace it, what do I spray in there. My mh has an arctic package so this may be part of that.
Hello to anyone who sees this. I'm a newby here. One of the many things that attracted me to purchase an Escape is how happy the owners in this forum are! Everyone just seems to have such a positive attitude about these campers.
I have a question about the insulation options. I plan to get...
Hi. This might be a strange request but I'm looking for a RV knowledgeable person who can come and insulate our pipes under our RV and maybe connect our back black tank to the front so I would only need to use one hose to the sewer. I'm thinking of having it done here in the next month or so and...
I cant seem to find the answer and maybe someone here has, I know the underbelly is enclosed but is it just dead air above the membrane or is there insulation of some type above the membrane?
Thanks in advance!

I decided that for cool weather camping that adding some insulation to the floor would be very nice. Standing on the linoleum-on-wood floor in my socks when temps were in the 40's convinced me of that.
At Lowes I picked up 12 feet of grey anti-fatigue mat. This mat is 3 feet wide. It turns...
Thought I would share with my fellow campers a few modifications that I am doing this summer to make my 2014 HW296 a little more livable this summer. It's been quite a while since I have been on the forums, but to those who don't remember me, I was the 19 year old who bought the camper while...
I have a 2006 Cherokee 28A Travel Trailer and I have recently had a water heater burst and leak all over the subfloor and onto the plastic and insulation barrier underneath the camper. I had to remove sections of this barrier to allow the wood to dry out.
I am replacing the water heater, but...
We are ordering a Wildwood 4092BFL to replace our 2008 Wildwood 392FKTB. The option list has two different options for insulation.
First is: "Double Insulation (Floor & Roof Only) R14
Second is: "Extreme Weather Pkg (calculated R38 @80 degree F).
We camp mainly in Central WI, and...
Has anyone insulated any of their cabinets? We live in Tucson and it gets hot in the summer, and I would like to be able to leave lotions, etc., in the TT, and wonder if putting in, say, a cloth-covered Styrofoam panel would help any.
We found very fine dust on our top bunk and at first could not figure out what it was. Investigation finally showed it was ants!NOT carpenter ants but a small black ant like sugar ants. They were tunneling in the insulation in the ceiling and the fine dust was coming down on the bunk. We...
On our 2015 832IKBS the heat radiating thru the front cap in the afternoon seems excessive. Just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this.
I first noticed it when we were camping in North Carolina in July with the TT facing N.W. At home it is in a carport and gets the afternoon...
Started on the basement storage area. Hope to finished this weekend. Going to do the front storage compartment too.
Wondering if adding insulation in the underbelly. Have read many opinions on this. I don't know if it is part of polar package. I know dual pane windows are.
If any have done...
Not sure what post I read this on, but I took someone's idea and replaced my inside factory speakers with a pair of Sony's from Walmart. Wow! What a huge difference that made. After removing the original speakers, I was surprised to see what type of insulation FR used in my Cherokee Greywolf...
I have had my 2003 about 2 weeks now and it has been over 90 a few of those daus. I have been concerned and went to open her vents and door only to find she is nowhere near as hot as i suspected. Do the open roof ventmake tjat big of a difference and if so...why don't mobile home makers install...
Dealer had to remove under belly so Lippert could come repair slide out box. Once repairs we're complete. Dealer days have to wait to put back together until they can get a special suit because of insulation material is too hazardous. Anyone know what this material is?
Thanks
John
I'm interested in feedback on the importance of R-values on RVs…
How much did and/or does the stated R-value influence your buying decision when you purchased your current camper? What are the R-values of your walls / floor / roof / etc.? What is your expectation of any RV manufacturer or brand...
Hi everyone!
I have really enjoyed this forum, figured I would introduce myself. My name is Leti…I found this site after my husband and I decided to buy a truck to convert into a camper. While we have done a lot of planning on design and have started some work on the truck I am really wanting to...
My daughter's bunk is over top of the outside kitchen. Is there anything that I can put under the mattress to help keep her warmer in cold weather and cooler in hot weather? Would a stapled down layer of Reflectix help? Other ideas?
I live in my rv and I'm new at this but...old at common sense. I know there are others in ever colder temps who may can share tips to help prevent the water line from the park to the rv from freezing. I use two white rv water hoses to connect and have pipe insulation on them...it just doesn't...
im a newbie here, but not to 5'ers (this will be my 4th) looking at a new thunderbolt xlr purchase, but i cant find one source for how the roof is constructed & insulated. any input welcome, i've already experienced the night mare of a 40' 2007 Weekend Warrior, with there 10 inch wide 2 inch...
looking at a 2010 3652 I noticed it had normal house insulation above the under belly cover which it metal. In my research of coaches the new ones have a foil then the insulation is up high in framing. My ? is is the batt insulation ok just worried about mice getting in and if there was a leak...
