I have a 2013 Vcross Platinum . There is a miscellaneous hose in the external input area below the fresh and city water inputs that is unlabeled. It has a 1/2" PVC male fitting. Who can tell me what it is for? I think it is the Winterizer input hose to the freshwater lines, but I'm not sure...
purchased a new 255P fifth wheel a few weeks back. While admiring the upgrade from my previous campers I discovered a issue that would be a problem. The fresh water over flow line is under the camper next to the drain line. I looked under the sink to see what was attached to the vent line built...
Took new RPOD 179 on maiden voyage over the weekend. Campsite water flowed freely through bathroom, but only dribbled at kitchen sink. Also, kitchen sink drain apparently not tight. Leaked into drawers below. How would I check the water lines to make sure that there's no leak or blockage?
Took new rpod 179 on maiden voyage this weekend. Campsite water flowed freely through the bathroom faucet, but barely dribbled out of kitchen faucet. Anyone know how to check system for blockage or lose fitting?
I could not see the logic in the separate Grey & Black drain outlets so
I bought a 1 1/2"/3" double valve assembly ($33) and some 1 1/2" PVC
pipe/elbow/coupler (<$10) and fixed the problem.
Now I have only one drain like a real RV. I did have to relocate the sewer
snake storage tube to the...
Not really the best way...
1. Get home from a long boondocking excursion at 11pm.
2. Put the camper in the storage spot.
3. Tell yourself that you'll come back tomorrow to winterize.
4. Temps drop overnight to 20 below freezing and stay there for 3 days.
5. Finally get back to the storage area...
To conserve water when showering on the MH I like to use the shower head on/off switch (I replaced the OEM with the Oxygenic). Unfortunately, this makes the water run cold.
I'm told I need to install check valves on the hot and cold water supply lines to the shower.
Has anyone done this...
We're proud owners of a new "empty nest" model trailer. I need a few plumbing fittings. Example- low point drains as well as fresh tank drain
are simply plastic pipe sticking out the belly with caps on them.
I want to add 1/4 turn plastic valves on all 3. Also there is a T fitting
in the...
Noticed some water under sink today. appears to be coming from a couple of joints. I tried hand tightnening but to no avail. Do I need to replace the gaskets in the joints? or? I'm not much of a plumber, lol
Any idea where to find plumbing line and drainage schematics. I have a 2015 Cherokee 39Q which has two toilets. I am suspecting that the bathroom at the rear of the trailer all drains into the black water tank at that end. Seems that washing hands and showering fills up the black water tank as I...
We have a new 306V that just had to get the plumbing all redone. Long story short, after only a couple of trips out we started to get stinking water backing up in the kitchen sink and even overflowed a couple of times out the washing machine drain. It smelled like sewage. At first my husband...
I have a Wildwood T22 and I've been trying to figure out why i have such little water flow throughout the camper. While cleaning up a bit i noticed that main (1 1/2"?) lines feed much smaller (1/2"ish) lines which then run to the faucets, toilet, and shower. I figured that this is probably just...
As noted in other posts, we are "parking" our 2011 Cedar Creek Cottage next door to a 150+ year old cabin we are going to restore. The RV is going to be in a sort of semi-permanent position for a year or two. We are in the mountains of Western NC, so have already experienced 15F and 5 inches...
Our 2013 Georgetown has developed a concern with calcium particulate buildup in the water system. We have always double filtered our water supply, on board filter, Water Pur CC1 and remote filter, Camco inline. I change the Camco every 2 - 3 weeks of use and have always attempted to fulley flush...
Decided to fill the gray tank to test for leaks and the gauge accuracy. Ran water into the kitchen sink.
Strange... The backup water showed up in the bathroom sink, not the tub. Hmmmm. There must be a check valve in the tub's drain line. But why??
Thanks for any thoughts

Okay, I decided to completely remove the water filter housing to avoid the potential of the bowl unscrewing itself as some people have experienced...we don't require a filter anyway as we bring bottle water to drink and just use the storage water or campground hookup to wash/clean with. So, I...
I have two capped off, I guess drains located under our 832IKBS the on the left side under the camper, just aft of the city water connection. Could someone let me know what these are? I am sure they told me when we picked up the camper but I have forgot and I have a slow drip from them. Anyway...
Hello friends,
I've seen some discussion here about frustration with these in-ceiling vents, and air conditioning effectiveness and thought I would share my 'improvement'.
I was not convinced that I was getting good circulation with my air conditioning vents, so I dug in. Some others here...
I have a 2013 365 saq. Does anyone know where the outside kitchen and half bath sink are plumbed? I think that the out side kitchen has its own tank. I am not sure about the 2nd half bath. I called forest river and they weren't sure.:signhavefun:
First, let me say I love how my new FR3 handles, but other than that I do not have many positives to add. We have had nothing but problems. We purchased the RV out of state based on the competitive pricing and lack of a 25ft. in stock within 200 miles. After driving 10 hours one way, to bring...
I have a 2015 8280 that I just took out for a trip this week and eventually found where the filter is located after I took a panel off in the storage container (basement?). I could see the filter and it was the other side of the furnace and impossible to access. How do you get to it? Water...
The plumbing in our new trailer has pex with the cinch clamps. The pex appears to be somewhat different than household pex in size...not certain but perhaps 3/8" as opposed to 1/2"??? I removed the onboard water filter after reading all the horror stories in here and was anxious to test my new...
On my 5th wheel I have 2 black tank flushes. I am wanting to plumb them together into a Wye Connector. My thoughts are that I can hook up the hose one time and then just turn on the valve going to whichever tank I want to flush.
Has anyone done this and if so what did you use. I was thinking...
Is the inside plumbing in most trailers typically 1/2" pex, if one wants to make some modifications is it as simple as using 1/2" pex fittings from Home Depot or Lowe's? Are the crimp fittings the manufacturers are using the same as the 1/2" pex crimps?
