Hi, I recently let someone back up my Hi-Lo & they crushed my step & yes it was in the traveling position when crushed almost flat.I'm trying to repair it but it's not going well so if there's someone out there that is parting out their 197o's Hi-Lo & has a step in good shape similar to what i had,i'd like to purchase it from you.My Hi-Lo is a 78 so it probably has to be a 70's Hi-Lo that the step comes from.I know i could just go buy a new step but i cant seem to find the same style .i haven't tried Hi-Lo parts yet but have had little luck with them so far. Joel i think it was says my Hi-Lo is a 78 and i cant get the original style parts i've asked for so far do to the fact that its a 78 and i believe as he put it the parts are obsolete. So Hi-Lo might have parts but not to match Hi-Lo's that arnt the newer style. So id appreciate it if some one has one they'd be willing to UPS me.No big hurry,Thanks

Try the guys at J & R in Butler, Ohio. They seem to have a little bit of everything. I would tend to think that all trailer steps would have the same demensions as far as width and depth. The only difference would be whether it was a one step, two step, or three step assembly. If I am wrong, hopefully someone will set me straight. Basically, the steps should be universal in size.

I agree with Retiredcamper47 I'd try Rob & Jim at J&R Repair. We were there several months ago and they seem to have alot of parts for both old & new hi-lo's. Joel as I understand it doesn't have the variety of parts that these other gentleman have at J&R. J&R were the warranty people for HI-LO when it was still in business so they have been doing this for years.

step

you can also make a step out of 3/4 plywood with a non skid top. I made one for my old sun-lite trailer. just measure the bottom sill hight of the door and divide that by two for your hight. then i made mine 18" square with a oval handle cut out of the top, and it worked flawlessly, make sure you paint the wood so it doesn't hold dirt or water, also j & r has the most parts out of anyone in the hi-lo field, and if you need help with what will fit on your hi-lo jim is the guy to talk to, he assembled hi-lo's since 1966 in butler.

This guy was parting out his Hi-Lo. Might get in touch with him and find out if he has steps and get deminsions for him.
