I recently purchased a 2008 1508T Hi-Lo. Are there any bike racks that are made that can be used with this RV? Thanks

The original owner of my 93 Funlite retrofitted the rear bumper with a bike rack, I'll post pics later, but I think it actually wasn't all that well done. It would have been easier to have someone weld square tubing the same size/thickness as a trailer hitch receiver and use the bike racks that fit into a receiver.

I did a search at the top of the page using 'bike rack' as the subject and came up with 31 threads. Here is the link: Hi-Lo camper travel trailer forum - Search Results

Personally I feel that an extension of the frame to mount a 2" receiver for a bike rack would be the most dependable method. You have to remember how much leverage there is with bikes hanging back there which can literally twist the bumper. Bumper mounted racks can work if the tube type bumper is made of the proper gauge of steel but there is no guarantee of that.

We just found some information about a bike rack that we are looking into. Can't speak to it at all, but perhaps it might fit what you are looking for. It mounts over the tongue jack above the LP tanks. We found that they are available through Camping World and we were told the sale price is approx. $167.15. Our literature reads, "have you ever wished you could see your bikes from your rear view mirror as you tow your travel trailer down the road? Now you can with the patented Jack-It double bike carrier from Let's Go Aero. The Jack-It's innovative frame design installs over the tongue jack on the trailer's A-frame, the softest riding area on the frame. The BikeWing carrier holds two bikes safely, securely and simply by the wheels. The adjustable wheel cradles and SwayStop straps secure the bike wheels to the bike carrier for a secure ride." Email address listed is lippertcomponents.com.

Thanks everyone for your input. Not yet sure what i'm gonna do, but I appreciate your help.

Hi all! I have the 1995 Towlite and this is what I did for my bike rack. Any feedback? I bought an 18” hitch extender for 1 1/4” hitch then made a hole on the support frame (hollow C frame, not the main frame) and bolted it then made 2 holes more in the back and bolted it out to the floor like a U-Bolt. And used the tire bolts to the 4x4 bumper.
I think it’s strong enough to hold the rack and 2 bikes.
Any thoughts?

I’m trying to figure out how to attach pics.

Can you upload some pictures? I just seem to see it in my minds eye

We bought folding bikes, 16" tires, 3 speeds. $120 ea on ebay. We've done many miles on these bikes and I stow them in the shower which is over the axles and strap them to the towel bar. Four years--no problems. When not in use, the are cable locked to the trailer wheel and a good Master lock. Just my two cents. Oh, we added bigger seats from wally world for comfort on those long rides.
