Door hinge

I purchased my replacement from Granger Industrial Supply. About $12. I am unable to find my order or part number right now.

And yes, I had to cut about 3/8 in. off one side with my band saw. I also had to drill the holes by using the old hinge as a template.

Looks and works great two years on.

Was the hinge from Granger made of aluminum?

I suggest that if you are going to the trouble to replace it that you purchase a stainless steel piano hinge. Might as well do it just once. Measure and try Amazon. That's where I got mine. You can easily cut it to length.

I agree on the stainless steel replacement hinge being more durable. That's not the problem. The hing Te is 1 1/16" on the door and 1 1/4" on the frame. Cutting 3/16" off a 33" long hinge for the door side would be easy with aluminum but not sure it would be so easy with stainless steel and finding a 1 1/4" hinge hasn't been easy in any material so far. Thank you,
