The lower half of my '94 Funlite shines like nothing else; the top half is another story.

Is there any product that I can apply to my upper half to bring back that luster? That sheen that my lower half still has?

I have the fiberglass siding. Just curious what's available...

Any Boat place should have products for fiber glass. My 95T was aluminum siding the 09T is fiber glass, so I too have to be looking for a shiner up product. I have a large boat place about a mile from my house and that is where I was planing on going.
RV stores should have something also as other make trailers also use fiber glass.

I used McGuire's car wax and a $15 orbital buffer from Harbor Freight...and about five extra buffer bonnets. It shined up pretty good.

Do you have the fiberglass exterior, RCREYES? Does it create any kind of coating/seal? My lower half looks almost like it's got a waterproof coating. Really a glossy sheen to it.

Maybe your trailer was repainted at one time and has a clear coat on it.

You may be right - but why would they only paint the bottom half?

I'm going to try your Meguiar's idea; I think I may even have some of that in the garage...

I'll try and post up a pic or two to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I'm sure you have what I have. I just need to jump in and give her some shine!

Restoring a shine to the Fiberglass

First we was the HiLo with a car wash product that has some wax in it. When we first got the HiLo we used a buffer and turtle wax on the wavy fiberglass. Takes a long time and a lot of patience. Wouldn't use the buffer as it is hard to do on wavy fiberglass. The reason the top half isn't so shiny is because it takes all the beating from the road and the long hrs. when in the down position. Hubby thinks the gelcoat is no longer on the fiberglass. We use a product called Gel -Gloss. This a one step cleaner and polish. It is made for fiberglass, marble acrylic and it cleans, seals and shines. Excellent for sinks,basins,countertops,t5ubs,spas,Rv's,Boats,Shower Doors & More.Safe to use on Fiberglass,Marble suurfaces,Acrylic Surfaces,Ceramic,Porcelain,Plastic Laminate,Stainless Steel&Chrome. "Gel-Gloss cleaner &polish combines the most powerful cleaning agents with the most effective carnauba waxes to produce the highest surface luster possible.Gel-Gloss leaves a smooth, sealed surface that eliminates water spotting and staining. In addition to fiberglass, marble and acrylic surfaces, use Gel-Gloss confidently on ceramic, chrome, stainless steel, porcelain and plastic laminate surfaces.". Directions Apply Gel-Gloss to dry surfaces with a clean dry cloth.Allow to dry to a haze before wiping clean.Thereafter ,wipe with a damp cloth as needed. For best results and maximum protection, reapply every 6-8 weeeks.Do not use GelGlosas on colored tile grout or on floor surfaces where slipperiness may be hazardous. Wealso use this on our one vehicle,1997 Heavy Duty F250,4x4 Long Bed Truck. You can purchase this at any Rv place,Home Depot or Camping World. It sells for the 1.Gallon size Presidents Club price.$24.99 We only apply once a year. It also comes in a !6oz. can and 12oz. spray. We apply with old towels and it continues to be black from the old dirt even though you have washed the RV. Maybe som e day soon I'll check out what my local boat store has to offer. We also use on our fiberglass cap on the truck. Love the gas hog truck-hate the price at the pump!!!!

Right out of the owners manual

11.4 Exterior Care
Almost the entire outside surface of your Hi-Lo consists of fiberglass or
aluminum that will keep its finish indefinitely if given proper care.
Mild soap and water will help retain the natural gloss. Clean top
section first in lower position, then raise and clean the bottom section.
Abrasive cleaners should not be used on the exterior.
The warranty requires that the owner perform
minimum maintenance, which includes washing and
waxing the RV siding at least 3 times a year at regular
intervals. Check caulking around all windows, vents
and roof seams. If caulking is cracked and dried out,
clean and replace.

Would a mild clorox/water solution be considered abrasive?
My camper has mildew and has been in storage awhile.
Thanks for your suggestions

I wouldn't call it "abrasive", but it is an "oxidizer", so it could promote rusting if left in contact with steel surfaces. Try to minimize contact with those areas and rinse the trailer thoroughly and you should be fine. The areas that have mildewed should not be damaged by this process.

I've used Lysol mold and mildew remover with great success on my boat. It's more expensive than bleach and water but it cleans much better. Check it on a couple of surfaces before you do the whole thing.
