Can't tell what's working because it's so cold outside everything freezes anyway. It says for electrical operation, turn thermostat to 4. Does it have to stay on 4? Confused. Thanks
If you're using the refrigerator in a cold environment, you MAY be able (and want to) set the thermostat to a warmer setting than 4. This kind of refrigerator is most efficient using propane, so it normally needs a high setting, if powered electrically. But just use a setting that gives you the desired interior temperature. A wireless inside/outside thermometer is helpful to tell you what's going on.
If your refrigerator is set at the warmest setting which mine is # 1 and it still drops below 32 degrees
Replace the thermistor probe inside the refrigerator mounted on the aluminum fins ( this happened to me) but always check with a dual thermometer
