I have an old Fridge in my 1965 Voyager. I can get the pilot to light and stay lit but nothing happens past that. I don't hear anything running or the fridge getting cold. Help anyone? Please

The only thing I hear when my fridge is in operation is the external fan that many use to assist in circulating. I turn it on, close it up and the next day its cool. How long are you allowing it to operate before checking? Are you using your hand as a test thermometer or actually checking it with one?

Unlikely that a 1965 fridge would work.
They are repairable as a DIY project. I did mine.
I apologize that I no longer have the repair info. A good google search and reading will get you many answers.
The only one I do remember is a very good site with good diagnostics and they sell the best ammonia unit, per my research.

I was checking with my hand and only allowing a few hours to get cool, should i allow longer?

Great I will check those places out.

Thanks

If by a few. You mean more than 2 hours, and no temp decrease. Repair.

I just went to that site listed. Do the diagnostic step by step.
This is a $ difference of $1500/2,000(someone else)instead of $400(you).
It truly, is not that hard to do!

Due to the age of your unit, you will need to see if a replacement is available. If not they will recharge yours, I believe.
ATCO was very responsive and helpful with my questions.
