How far would you go for a trailer?

I'm currently selling my 25C and I have a buyer who wants to travel nearly 1000mi/ea way to come get it. I personally think it's a terrible idea, but to each their own. However I am getting a little nervous about selling it to the buyer for a couple of reasons.

1) The trailer hasn't been seen or inspected by the buyer, they're going off my videos.
2) I'm not entirely sure the buyer has pulled a trailer before based on our conversation, and it is a really long haul for a first timer.

I'm a little nervous they're so enthusiastic about the Hi-Lo that they're ignoring some of the dangers and warning signs, going that distance they also pigeon hole themselves to taking the trailer even if it's completely different than the condition they expect. Again to each their own but it does make me feel uncomfortable and I would feel terrible if something happened on the return trip home.

I'm posting this and I'll be sending it to the buyer just to be transparent with how people feel about it. I'd welcome your thoughts.

We traveled from Niagara Falls to the PA line for a trailer. We had to use the sellers hitch as our old one would not work. The seller gave it to us or else we would have had to make another round trip.If you are confident the trailer is in good condition with good tires then see if the people show up. Have you had any one else wanting to come and look at it?

I have pulled many traiers and even drove tractor trailer . All ours I just looked at the pictures and took a chance about them. from Pa. The first one I traveled to Ct. = around 200 mile was ok till we took it to Alaska and that destroyed it traded it for the 2nd one we traveled to Canada about 400 mile and later after traveling 5000 mile needed repairs and last one we traveled to Michigan 700 mile and picked up ours and took to Ohio for rebuild but got a 13,000 RV for 3,000 and It was worse than I thought . we sold our 2nd one to a family in Florida = around 1000 miles and gave them the hitch even though he had one but his would not be suitable with it I made sure the tires along with everything else was good and even went and bought 2 new tires and gave him the others for spare and he never had a camper so took me a couple hours to go over everything in detail . His wife said the inside looked new and it did. He did pull a trailer before but with a Hilo there is no sway even though I gave him mine as I never used it. Even if person looks at anything there is mostly always things missed. Be upfront and in detail with everything condition of walls especially and roof and turn the refrigerator on and use a digital thermonitor to show the temp on all 3 settings. show the dry camping pump working , AC working with a digital thermonitor showing the temp. same with the furnace. Also show it raising and lower Good Luck

I live in Evergreen, Colorado. I flew to San Diego, California to look at a Hi Lo which was for sale by a private party. We met at Camping World in Las Vegas, Nevada where I picked up the camper and towed it back to Evergreen. I kept this one for ten years and towed it over 10,000 miles. I probably could have had it towed by a professional but was not aware of any at the time. Perhaps this will help.

The trouble with going a long distance to view a trailer is that it predisposes you to buy it (so that the trip is not wasted) even though it might have defects that would be deal breakers if the distance were shorter (like in the same town). I don't think traveling more than about 200 miles is a good idea for that reason. Of course, if the trailer is a genuine good buy, these thoughts don't apply.

When we sold our trailer we offered to meet the buyer ~25% of the distance (NC back home to OH) They already had a 22ft older HiLo so knew what to look for in a resale. Our trailer was in great shape with new tires/brakes so I didn’t have any concerns.
