What aftermarket kitchen faucet have you installed and mods did you do to make it work
I think I found a pull out style that may work

Care to share what you have found or are you still in the "looking" stage. I would love to replace the S.E. faucet we have on our 27T. DW does the cooking, I do the cleaning and the S. E. faucet does not handle large pots and pans at all.:(

In the looking stage right now
I would like to install a better faucet for washing larger items too
But I would like not to modify the upper cabinet or recessed plastic pan to keep the storage in the cabinet

I found a low profile kitchen faucet with a sprayer worked wonders for large items and later my DSO found she could wash her hair and rinse it much better. Only had to drill a hole for it. That was several Hi Los ago, but I'm sure it's still working.

Do you remember the brand of faucet and how did make the upper cabinet work? Modified it?

I'm pretty sure it was a Glacier Bay from H D. Over my kitchen sink is a dome that goes into the upper cabinet, which protects the faucet. In that dome, I installed a very small curtain rod to hold paper towels, which must be removed before lowering the top. Another thing on my "to-do before lowering" list. The faucet was just a cheapie but worked well. After this week of camping, I'm going to install the same in this camper.

I found a low profile faucet at Ace Hardware a few years ago. It cleared the top lowering test fine. Not sure of the brand though.

Installed a new pull out kitchen faucet today
I wanted one that I would not have to modify the upper cabinet and I only had 6 1/2" in height
Found it at Lowes, project source #0553401 pull-out utility faucet
The faucet fits in the 4 inch spacing of the old faucet but I had to drill out a center hole for the pull out hose
Also have to pull out the pull out section of the faucet and set it in the sink to lower the trailer
This will help washing larger items
I did add shut off valves in the faucet supply lines to service the faucet better and re routed the water lines for better storage below the sink
Also added a plastic tray to catch the pull out hose to prevent it catching on items in cabinet

I am sure my camper has the original one, is the part the water comes out suppose to just pull off? first time having water ran in it today and it came flying off and water went everywhere. doesn't seem to be broke so i'm guessing maybe its suppose to be removable but think i will end up replacing it so glad i found this thread

Faucets are not suppose to "fly off". Honest- a picture would help us. If you push the "go advanced" button next to what you click to post questions you should be able to figure out how to post a picture.

I went with the El-Cheapo Glacier Bay Utility Faucet:

Glacier Bay Aragon 4 in. Centerset 2-Handle Laundry Faucet in Chrome-67236-0A01 - The Home Depot

I like it because has a small foot print, it's reasonably tall (but has no issues with the top closed), and it rotates 360 degrees (so you can fully swing it out of the way when cleaning taller items).

I was redoing my entire kitchen area when I installed it. So I paired it with the Ikea Fyndig sink:
FYNDIG Sink - IKEA

That sink is deeper than the stock sink, and the faucet is taller than stock. So the combination is a HUGE improvement. That said, I don't know what you're replacing. So it might not be an improvement for you. It sure was over what came from the factory in our 1972, haha! Best part though, I think I came in around $80 for sink+faucet+new feed lines+all new drain lines. Hard to beat!

That's nice, and it fits okay with the top down. Great find. Could you share the brand/source for that?
