Hi-Lo 2311H. Installed two Max Air II vent covers and a Hengs Vortex fan in the rear vent. Best thing I did since buying this trailer. Made the factory fan seem like it had been useless. It poured down rain in buckets for about 30 minutes last night. Both vents fully open, perfect. Also used Eternabond four inch tape to make a permanent seal around the vents.

Someone posted that the wires for a 12v fan are already at the front vent. Is this on every Hi-Lo?

The wires were there on my 2001 HiLo. Just remove the interior trim ring to the vent and you will be able to see if the wires are there or not on your unit.

The 2311H does have the wires factory installed to the front vent. Pulled the trim ring off and looked yesterday.

We added a Fantastic Fan to our 1705T, it was prewired, as well as the Maxair covers. The fan worked great and we wouldn't go without the covers. We put the covers on the 2310H but yet to do the fan. There was no need to put the tape around the vent covers and you may want to remove them now and then to do some cleaning.

I installed a Fantastic Fan in the front vent opening of my rig and replaced the factory noisey bathroom fan with a Fantastic Fan. The rear vent came equipped with a Fantastic Fan from the factory. With the Fantastic Fans, you must use the larger (MaxxAir) vent covers. The smaller (standard size) covers restrict the air flow of the fans and may cause the fan motor to burn out. The smaller vent covers void the Fantastic Fan warranty. I had called the Fantastic Fan factory and was told this by them. The fans are quiet and move alot of air. Yes, the fans come with an off/on switch.

I'm interested in putting these Maxxair covers on as we would often like to run the vent fans without worrying about the possibility of rain. But I can't figure out whether the Maxxair II or Fan/Mate would be the one to use. Any comments that might help me decide?
