Rubber roof

Might as well get all my questions out at one time! Considering a rubber roof. Yay or nay?

Our 1990 25ft. HiLo has a rubber roof that has been on for 23yrs. The prior owner must have done battle with a tree branch and the patch has held up all these years. A couple of yrs. ago we had the start of a leak and applied a 20ft. patch. We coated our roof and it looks clean and white. When it rains it sounds like boiling macaroni on the roof. I would replace it with a rubber roof again even though the material is more expensive than metal. Many utube videos show how to diy replacing a rubber roof.

I'll check into the DIY on YouTube if we decide to go that route. We haven't done the roof since we got it a couple years ago we are going to do it this year. I hadn't considered a rubber roof until I saw an ad in the Menard's circular this week. Thought it was affordable so started considering it. Thanks for the input.
